User Link Feed Plugin for WordPress
Finally i create a plugin for wordpress, i call it User Link Feed, you can see it in action here.
User Link Feed enables user blog to contribute link feeds include an image fetched for the link.
Title, Description, and Images are fetched directly from the link source in realtime.
The user interaction when contribute the link is like facebook link share, user can choose which images to be use that fetched.

Features :
* Fetch Title, Description, and Images directly from the link source in realtime.
* User choose image to be use.
* reCaptcha for blocking spam.
* Feed List Sidebar Widget
* Pagination Feed List.
* Specify number of feed to display per page.
* Enable / Disable unregistered user to submit a link feed.
* Feed List on Admin panel using Wordpres Default Grid View.
* Sort Feed List by All/New/Approved on Admin panel.
* Pagination Feed List on Admin Panel.
* Admin Approval.
* Delete Feed on Admin Panel.
* If you want to customize the user-link-feed.css stylesheet, you can place it in your active theme folder, and User Link Feed will find it there (that way you won’t lose your stylesheet customizations when upgrading User Link Feed).
Installation :
Download the zip file, unzip it, and copy the “user-link-feed” folder to your plugins directory. Then activate it from your plugin panel. After successful activation, User Link Feed will appear under your “Settings” tab. Note that User Link Feed requires WordPress 2.5 or higher.
Usage Guide :
Before you can use User Link Feed, you need to fill out its Settings form. First, you will need a reCAPTCHA API key. If you are already using the WP-reCAPTCHA comments plugin, then you don’t need another key (you’ll see the form is pre-filled with your existing key). If you’re not using WP-reCAPTCHA, then follow the link on the Settings form to get a key. Then the only other requirement is that you provide the email address where you’d like the form submissions to go. All the other settings include comments explaining what they do.

Just put the shortcode tag:

on a page, and that’s where the User Link Feed will appear.

Hi, thanks for the great plugin. I noticed that the plugin grabs strange excerpts from the stories. An example is I was grabbing a story from AOL and the excerpt said “The latest updates sent straight to your inbox.” instead of grabbing any of the story content. I wondering what I can do to tweak it.

Thank you for your feedback, yes it still have a lack on grabbing the description, maybe you can try to tweak it on user-link-feed/display/index.php from line 124 – 137

Cant get your plugin to work proberly, the form box isnt showing the titel and desceription box, so when you add a feed, its always says error..
Any idea to fix this?
you should put the url into textbox at the left side of “attach” button, then click the “attach” button, then it’ll automatically fetch the link title and description.

punya pertanyaan neh, bisa gak nih plugin di pake di sidebar tanpa pake widget ? Misalnya dengan menggunakan code php yang bisa saya sematkan di htmlnya ?

where is the code for the plugin located? The submit widget isn’t fitting into my sidebar, I’d like to adjust the wdth
story appears, but without a thumbnail? any thoughts? The thumbnail appears on the dashboard while the story waits for approval but doesn’t show up when posted to the page
